Why this version works differently, not just looks different:
Google Play doesn't allow an app like this to read SMS automatically in the background unless it's the phone's designated default messaging app — a scope change nobody actually wants just to read mobile money alerts. So instead: open the message in your Messages app, tap Share, and Doh-Sasa appears as an option — one tap, same recognition, same result. If anything, it's a feature some people will prefer: you decide exactly what gets logged, rather than everything being swept in automatically. One small honesty note: automatic Kenyan-supermarket recognition (a feature in the direct version) is switched off here by default, since this version is built for a global audience — everything else works identically.

What it does

Share it in, get it recognized

Forward any mobile money or bank message via Android's Share button — parsed and categorized the same way the direct version's automatic detection works, just one tap instead of zero.

Learns your patterns

After a few transactions with the same person, suggests the description and category before you even type — you just confirm.

Budgets with real warnings

Set a monthly cap per category and get warned at 80% and when you go over — optional, toggle off any time without losing your caps.

Savings goals

Set a target amount for something specific and log contributions toward it with a running progress bar.

Loans and recurring bills

Track loan facilities separately from ordinary spending, plus reminders before a detected recurring payment is due.

Cash and revenue too

Log physical cash you spend or receive by hand — it all rolls into the same Summary and Budgets as everything else.

Multi-currency, real rates

Log a transaction in any of 90+ world currencies — fetches the actual historical exchange rate for that specific date, not just today's.

Full backup and real spreadsheets

Export everything as JSON and restore it exactly later, or send a genuine .xlsx file straight to Sheets or Excel.

Pick a color palette or follow your system's dark mode automatically. Adjust text size, and the app greets you by name.

Automatic updates

Once listed, Play Store keeps the app current the normal way — no manual "check for updates" step.
